RivetKing® Structural Blind Rivets Catalog Information

StemLock™: Steel / Aluminum

StemLock™ fasteners are advanced structural blind rivets that have among the highest shear and tensile values available because the mandrel is locked into the shear plane. The internal locking mechanism ensures positive mandrel retention and will break flush with the head. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. This blind rivet is perfect for thin, soft, or brittle material, or imperfect holes. The body diameter of the StemLock™ is ¼”. Available in multiple grip ranges, these rivets come in either aluminum or steel. The head is a standard dome head. Other manufacturers might call these an Avdel® Hemlock®, POP® UltraGrip®, or HUCK® Auto-Bulb™.

Tigerbolt®: Aluminum, Steel, or Stainless Steel Internal Locking

Tigerbolts® are structural rivets with an external locking feature. This locking feature is visible after the rivet is installed. The special nose piece that is required to set the rivet creates a small expansion of a shoulder on the mandrel, in a pocket located on the surface of the rivet head. The mandrel is retained within the shear plane yielding high strength under shear loads and the external lock ensures mandrel retention which results in high strength under pullout loads. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. The M-Lock™ and Tigerbolt® have a wide grip range and are offered in two sizes: 3/16” and 1/4”. These rivets come with a standard dome head, and some grip ranges are available with a countersunk head. Available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. Note, a special nose piece is required to set these externally locked structural blind rivets. Other manufacturers may also call these an Avdel® MonoBolt®.

In-Lock®: Aluminum, Steel, or Stainless Steel Internal Locking

In-Lock® rivets are structural rivets with an internal locking feature. The locking feature is not visible when the rivet is installed. The mandrel is retained within the shear plane, yielding high strength under shear loads. The internal lock assures mandrel retention which results in high strength under pullout loads. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. These rivets are available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. The Go-Lock™ and In-Lock® have wide grip ranges and are offered in three sizes: 3/16”, 1/4”, and 3/8”. Comes with standard dome head, some grip ranges available with countersunk head. Other manufactures have referred to these as an Avdel® Interlock®, HUCK® Magna-lok™, Marson® Klik-Lock™, or Gesipa® MegaGrip®.

Trifix™: All Aluminum Tri-Folding

The Trifix™ are perfect for inconsistent grip ranges or oversized, out-of-round (oblong) holes that are typical in plastics. The Trifix™ is designed to work like a moly-bolt in that it splits out into three legs at the backside. Its extended bearing surface spreads the load over a wider area to prevent pullout in plastics or other similar soft or thin sheet materials. Tri-Go™ and Trifix™ are painted in white, black and almond colors. Black anodized is also available. The rivet has an aluminum body and an aluminum mandrel. This is considered a light-duty semi-structural rivet and comes in two body diameters: 5/32” and 3/16”. Grip ranges include, but are not limited to, .040″, .157″, .275″, .354″, and .472″. The Trifix™ go by many names with other manufacturers: Avdel® Bulbex®, POP® LSH®, HUCK® Tri-Bulb™, or Gesipa® TriFold.

Super Trifix™: All Aluminum High Strength Tri-Folding

The Super Trifix™ are all aluminum and are designed for use in thin sheet metal or soft materials where strength of the riveted joint is of concern. These are considered a light-duty semi-structural rivet. Super Trifix™ semi-structural rivets offer better shear and tensile strength then that of the standard Tri-fix™. The mandrel stays within the shear plane and breaks flush with the head. A neoprene washer can be affixed under the head to make a weather tight seal. The size of this rivet is 3/16”. Note, 3/16” rivets are made according to a din standard in which the body diameter is actually .205″ (5.2mm). The 3/16” inch designation has been applied as a reference only as the actual rivet is .205″ diameter. Please ensure the hole design is .208 – .221″ to accommodate the rivet. Due to the externally locked mandrel, a special nose piece is required for the installation tool.
