The RIV 943 / Rivet Nut USA 9043 is a rugged, production-ready Atlas rivet nut gun built to handle demanding installation environments while still offering flexibility for installing small threaded fasteners. This pneumatic rivet nut gun is commonly used to install rivet nuts and rivet studs and offers both “Pull to Pressure” or “Pull to Stroke” operating modes for precide control.

• “Pull to Pressure” allows the user to initially set-up the tool to a predetermined installation force. The tool will apply a standard foot pounds of pressure to successfully install every rivet nut, even including if the material thicknesses varies from install to install. “Pull to Pressure” is user friendly and good for varying material thicknesses or varying types of rivet nuts.
• “Pull to Stroke” allows the user to initially set-up the tool to a predetermined installation pulling stroke distance. The user will screw the pressure knob into maximum pressure position (eliminating any pressure variations), then allow the gun to control the upset quality using the stroke control feature. The “Pull to Stroke” feature of the 9043 is an Assembler and Quality Manager’s best friend for high-volume installation production environments, as it assures the nutsert is “stroked” the same distance on every install!  This is good for when a factory is installing the same rivet nut in the same material over and over and over again.

• Step 1: The fastener will auto-feed onto the installation tool
• Step 2: Pull the trigger HALFWAY in order to initiate the installation sequence
• Step 3: Once the fastener is installed, then pull the trigger FULLY to initiate the reverse feature that will spin the mandrel out of the installed fastener
• Cycle Time: Up to 10 installs per minute
• Pull Force: 7,194 lbs or 32 kN
• Stroke: .390 in or 9.9 mm

• Air Pressure: Regulate to 87 PSI (6.0 Bar) of clean dry air for best operation

• Mandrel & Anvil required for each thread size.  These are considered consumables of the tool, please keep backup(s) on hand!
• Please consult us on your exact fastener and application to assure you invest in the most capable tool for the job.
  • Note:  Material type of fastener is critical. The tool will require different adjustments depending if the fastener is aluminum (soft, easier to install), steel or stainless steel (hard, hardest to install, more power needed).
  • * noted in above thread listing: The asterisk means that this thread size is toward the upper end of the tool capability and we must first test the exact fastener with the tool before confirming the tool can handle the install.
