Rivet Nut USA™, a division of Cardinal Components Inc., is proud to offer an extensive range of IN-STOCK LockBolt Collar Rivets for your various application requirements. LockBolt Collar Rivets are commonly referred to as the “Huck® Bolt”. Huck® is a commonly used brand name to describe the generic “lockbolt collar rivet”. This type of rivet is a 2-piece fastener system: the pin/bolt and the collar. A “lockbolt collar rivet” is considered a specialty type of rivet.

Huck® Bolt
Because of its long history in the industry, Huck® is the well-known brand name associated with the generic term “lockbolt collar rivet”. Rivet Nut USA™ is not a direct distributor of the Huck® brand, but we do have access to it through a close partner. For more information on Huck® products, please visit our Huck® article and send us an RFQ!
We also directly distribute other manufacturer lockbolts that many consider to stack up closely to a “Huck® Bolt”.

The best LockBolt Collar for corrosion resistance (304 food grade stainless steel) is available at Rivet Nut USA. This lockbolt is great for vibration resistance, too! Available in two diameters (3/16” and 1/4″ diameters) this stainless steel bolt comes with the following head styles: Button, Truss, Rivet, or 90° Flush. The G-Grip™ achieves the following multi-grip ranges: .062-.625”, .125-.625”, and .312-1.250”. The biggest advantage the G-Grip™ offers is an extensive grip range and sizes that one G-Grip™ can replace up to 14 sizes of the classic 6-groove locking fastener systems, reducing the need to stock multiple parts for sizes. Note the Truss Head style only comes in the 1/4″ diameter.
The G-Grip™ Lockbolt eliminates the need for a special nose tip for your Huck rivet gun as it uses the SAME nose assembly as the aluminum and steel Magnagrip huckbolts.
The LockBolt™ Collar installs in 4 steps:
- The threaded pin is inserted in the prepared hole from one side (blind install). The collar is placed on top of the pin’s end and is pushed down until it reaches the application material.
- Next, the pin is inserted in the nose piece of the installation tool, downwards along the LockBolt pin until the install tool reaches the collar.
- With the press of the button on the installation tool, immediately the swaging process of the collar to the pin starts. Simultaneously, the jaws inside of the mouthpiece pull the pin until it breaks off, completing the install (similar to a pinch-and-pull process).
- The result is a flush, broken pin and a tight-fitting collar. The combination of the pin and collar result in a high permanent clamping force and are mechanically locked, for a strong hold against vibrations.
