Bollhoff Kobsert | Threaded Inserts for Metals
The KOBSERT® thread insert from Böllhoff is designed to create strong, vibration-resistant threads within a variety of workpieces, from stronger materials like metal to softer, lower strength materials like soft steel, aluminum, or magnesium alloys. It locks in place during the install process to resist twisting or shaking. The fit is secure so there is no need for extra components or substances like pins, washers, glue, or sealants. Some product types come with a sealing ring to keep out gas and liquids.
Easy to Use
Installation of the KOBSERT® insert is simple and effortless:
- Drilling the appropriately sized hole in the base material is imperative.
- Insert the KOBSERT® so the locking flange sits flush with the work‑piece surface.
- As the insert is installed, the pipe‑shaped neck beneath the flange shortens and bends outward toward the mounting thread, which anchors the insert.
- The design provides a tight fit between the insert and the parent thread, reducing the risk of movement or loosening under load or vibration.
KOBSERT® is available in a variety of types to suit different requirements:
