Pneumatic and battery-powered rivet nut tools rely on an internal oil reservoir to operate correctly. Regularly adding the recommended hydraulic oil helps ensure smooth operation, reduces internal wear, and keeps your tool delivering consistent installation results. Running a tool with low oil can lead to costly repairs. How to Refill the Reservoir
Checking and refilling the oil reservoir takes 30 seconds and can help prevent expensive service issues.
- Use a hex key to remove the black screw located on the top of the tool.
- Slowly add the recommended oil until the reservoir is full.
- A slight overflow is normal. Wipe away excess oil with a clean shop rag.
- If an air bubble forms in the reservoir, replace the screw, cycle the tool several times, remove the black screw again, and continue adding oil as needed.
- Reinstall the screw and return the tool to service.
