- A female rivet nut with the male threaded bolt already installed (pre-installed) into the rivet nut. Slide the secondary attachment over the male bolt and finally, secure the secondary attachment with a female hex nut (or similar).
- A rivet nut combined with a pre-installed threaded stud is great for vertical or hanging applications.
- (e.g., A single installer can use RIVSTUDS® to reduce hassle of aligning and installing a wall-mounted air conditioner unit on a city bus. The RIVSTUDS® make it much easier to lift, align and push on a heavy AC unit. Once the AC unit has been pushed onto the four RIVSTUDS®, it’s as easy as tightening the hex nuts onto the RIVSTUDS® and the AC unit is securely installed.)
- Installed with the same tooling as a regular rivet nut (special headset required; always in stock!).
- Replace a clinch stud or weld stud with a rivet nut stud (Bollhoff’s brand name is the RIVSTUD®!).
