Universal threaded nut inserts for expansion anchoring in thermoset and thermoplastic materials!
AMTEC® stands for – After Molding TECHnology – and refers to the installation of threaded nut inserts into plastic components after-molding. The Böllhoff AMTEC EXPANSIONSERT® 1 threaded nut inserts consist of a cross-slotted body with an internal thread featuring external diamond knurling, as well as a spreader plate. When the thread insert is inserted into the mounting hole, the diamond knurling (or hexagonal design) is expanded by the spreader plate, which is pushed down. The knurling then anchors itself in the wall of the hole.
